Phlebotomy Technician Program

The phlebotomy training course provides skill development with various blood and non-blood collection methods for adults, children, and infants using proper techniques and standard precautions. (Hybrid - partially online 8-week program)

Program cost $1,155

(An approved Ready to Work program)

Additional information:

  • Emphasis on patient identification, infection control, OSHA safety requirements, specimen collection and handling
  • The CCHT approved phlebotomy training includes didactic and an environment for      learning the basics of performing a venipuncture and skill development.

   

Finish in 8 – 9 weeks


What’s required:

  • Minimum age, 18 yrs old
  • Driver's license (or government-issued ID)
  • SSN card
  • HS diploma (or GED or transcript of highest grade completed)
  • CPR certification (if you do not have a current CPR certification, we provide CPR at a discount for CCHT enrolled students)
  • TB with negative results within the past 6 months (if you do not have a current TB negative result, you will be required to obtain prior to the end of the first week of class)
  • Vaccinations - COVID, Influenza, and Hepatitis B (if you do not have either, you have the option of signing the declination form)

Job outlook

  

The average hourly wage for a Phlebotomist in the United States is $18 as of January 2023 with a typical range between $17 To $21 per hour.  While the typical hourly range is standard, the hourly wage varies and increases with agency assignments.
